Pre-collision System Cancel Switch Circuit [08/2015 - ]: Procedure
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Data List.
- Read the display on the Techstream.PRE-COLLISION 2
Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Pre-Collision Brake OFF Switch Pre-collision system cancel switch assembly signal/ON or OFF ON: Pre-collision system cancel switch assembly on
OFF: Pre-collision system cancel switch assembly off- OK
On screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.

OK → Refer to 4
- INSPECT PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Remove the pre-collision system cancel switch assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] .
- Inspect the the pre-collision system cancel switch assembly. Refer to INSPECTION [08/2015 - ] .
NG → Refer to 5
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY, BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the L60 driving support ECU assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L153-8 - L60-5 (PBSW) Always Below 1 Ω L153-8 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher L153-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → Refer to 6
- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2015 - ]
- REPLACE PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
