New Key cannot be Registered [12/2012 - ]: Procedure

1. Check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Smart Key > Trouble Codes 

   NOTE:

   If a malfunction occurs, do not remove/install the vehicle battery before checking for DTCs.
