Wireless Transmitter Memory Function does not Operate [08/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 
    1. Check the manual lock/unlock function by using the door control switch (power window regulator master switch assembly).

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2012 - ]

      OK

      Manual lock/unlock function operates normally.

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM:  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2012 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 
    1. Check that the wireless door lock/unlock operates normally.

      OK

      Wireless door lock/unlock operates normally.

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM:  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2012 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK SMART KEY SYSTEM (for Start Function) 
    1. Check that the engine starts normally when the ignition switch is pressed with the brake pedal depressed and while carrying the key.

      OK

      Engine starts normally.

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO SMART KEY SYSTEM (for Start Function):  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2012 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK SEAT POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION 
    1. Store a seat position in memory.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [08/2016 - ]

    2. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate that a position has been stored.
      NOTE:
      • The seat position will not be recorded if the SET switch and 2 of the seat memory switches are pressed simultaneously.
      • If a memorizing operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory function does not operate unless the switches are released.

      OK

      Seat position memory function operates normally.

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO OTHER DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE (Power Seat Position is not Memorized):  Power Seat Position is not Memorized [08/2016 - ]

  5. CHECK SEAT POSITION RESTORING FUNCTION 
    1. Restore a memorized seat position.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [08/2016 - ]

    2. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the seat automatically moves to the memorized position.
      NOTE:
      • The seat will not return to the memorized position if 2 of the seat memory switches are pressed simultaneously.
      • If a restoring operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory restoring function does not operate unless the switches are released.

      OK

      Seat position restoring function operates normally.

    Result:

    GO TO OTHER DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE (Power Seat does not Return to Memorized Position):  Power Seat does not Return to Memorized Position [08/2016 - ]

  6. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVER DOOR COURTESY SWITCH) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

  7. CHECK MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION FUNCTION 
    1. When the following conditions are met, press the manual lock or unlock switch on the power window regulator master switch assembly.
      • Engine switch is off
      • M1 or M2 seat memory switch is pressed and held
      • Driver door closed
      • Key is being carried
    2. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate the completion of memory call registration.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [08/2016 - ]

  8. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

  9. CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Close and lock all doors.
    3. Unlock the driver door by pressing the unlock switch of the memory call registered key or touching the driver door outside handle while holding the memory call registered key.
    4. Open the driver door and check that the driver seat moves to the memorized position.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [08/2016 - ]

  10. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 
    1. Replace the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]

  11. CHECK MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION FUNCTION 
    1. When the following conditions are met, press the manual lock or unlock switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly.
      • Engine switch is off
      • M1 or M2 seat memory switch is pressed and held
      • Driver door closed
      • Key is being carried
    2. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate the completion of memory call registration.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [08/2016 - ]

  12. REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the position control ECU and switch assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]

  13. CHECK MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION FUNCTION 
    1. When the following conditions are met, press the manual lock or unlock switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly.
      • Engine switch is off
      • M1 or M2 seat memory switch is pressed and held
      • Driver door closed
      • Key is being carried
    2. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate the completion of memory call registration.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [08/2016 - ]
