Auto Up Operation does not Fully Close Power Window (Jam Protection Function is Activated) [12/2012 - ]: Procedure

1. Initialize the front power window regulator motor assembly LH.

   Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2012 - 10/2015] or INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - ] .

Result:

1. Check that the driver door power window moves when the auto up and down function of the power window regulator master switch assembly is operated.

   Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2012 - 10/2015] or OPERATION CHECK [10/2015 - ] .

   OK

   Driver door power window auto up and down function is normal.

Result: 

OK 

END (PROBLEM DUE TO INITIALIZATION FAILURE) 

Result: 

NG

1. Remove the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH.
2. Install the window glass to the door glass run.
3. Check if the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH operates smoothly.
4. Check that the window glass slides smoothly when sliding it up by hand.
   WARNING:

   Perform initialization again.

   HINT: 

   Ensure the following:

   • The window glass fits with the glass run without improper contact or deformation.
   • Foreign matter is not caught in the glass run.

   Results	Proceed to
   	Door window glass and regulator slides smoothly
   	Door window glass and regulator slides not smoothly

Result: 

Door window glass and regulator slides smoothly 

REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH: 

Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - 10/2015] or REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] .

Door window glass and regulator slides not smoothly 

FIT WINDOW GLASS CORRECTLY (REMOVE FOREIGN MATTER CAUSING IMPROPER FIT OR REPLACE PARTS)
