AWD Control Switch Circuit [12/2012 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SWITCH
- Remove the AWD lock switch (differential lock switch).
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]
- Inspect the AWD lock switch (differential lock switch).
Refer to INSPECTION [12/2012 - ]
Result:
NG
REPLACE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SWITCH: REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]
Result:
OK

- Remove the AWD lock switch (differential lock switch).
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SWITCH - BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G50-6 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω *a Front view of wire harness connector
(to AWD Lock Switch [Differential Lock Switch])
Result:
NG
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
Result:
OK

- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SWITCH - 4WD ECU ASSEMBLY)
- Reinstall the AWD lock switch (differential lock switch).
Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2012 - ]
- Disconnect the 4WD ECU assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition G86-10 (4WDS) - Body ground AWD lock switch on (Push) Below 1 Ω AWD lock switch off (Release) 10 kΩ or higher *a Front view of wire harness connector
(to 4WD ECU Assembly)

OK
REPLACE 4WD ECU ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]
