How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [12/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the battery voltage.

      Standard voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Techstream, inspect the CAN communication function to ensure there are no malfunctions in the communication system

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2015 - ] 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      No DTCs output A
      DTC is output B

    Result: 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2015 - 08/2016]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2016 - 11/2017]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2017 - 08/2018]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2018 - ]

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Techstream, inspect the LIN communication function to ensure there are no malfunctions in the communication system.

      Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2017 - ]
