REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - ] )
Result:
OK
See step 2
- INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY NOTE:
The spiral cable is an important part of the SRS airbag system. Incorrect removal or installation of the spiral cable may cause airbag deployment. Be sure to read shown in the brackets.
- Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - ] ).
- Inspect the spiral cable sub-assembly (Refer to INSPECTION [12/2015 - ]
).
HINT:
The spiral cable makes a maximum of approximately 5 rotations.
Result:
NG
REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - ] )
Result:
OK
See step 3
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - DRIVING SUPPORT ECU, BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the A44 driving support ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D149-12 (DIST) - A44-7 (MODE) Always Below 1 Ω D149-12 (DIST) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher D149-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Reconnect the driving support ECU connector.
Result:
NG
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
Result:
OK
See step 4
