How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the battery voltage.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK NAVIGATION SYSTEM 
    1. Refer to Navigation System.

      Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [11/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2018 - ]

      OK

      Navigation system is normal.

      Result

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2017 - ]

      CAN DTCs are output B

  5. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2017 - ] 

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2017 - ] 

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to reproduce the DTCs by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.
