Front Camera Module Communication Stop Mode [11/2017 - 08/2018]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA CAN BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Forward Recognition Camera)
    2. Disconnect the forward recognition camera connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T32-5 (CA1P) - T32-11 (CA1N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA (CA1P, CA1N) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Forward Recognition Camera)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T32-10 (GND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - ]

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      T32-7 (IGB) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
