Removal [11/2017 - 09/2019]: Procedure

PRECAUTION
WARNING:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - ] ).

NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - ] ).
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29
REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT PLATE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30
REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

REMOVE ECM

Disengage the clamp to separate the wire harness.

Disconnect the 6 connectors.
Remove the 2 bolts, nut and ECM from the instrument panel reinforcement assembly.

REMOVE ECM BRACKET

Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket from the ECM.

REMOVE NO. 2 ECM BRACKET

Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 ECM bracket from the ECM.
