Engine Control System (Service Information): ECM: Removal: Procedure

  1. REMOVE PCM 
    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

      Refer to REMOVAL

    2. Remove the PCM together with the battery tray as a single unit.

      Refer to REMOVAL

    3. Remove the nuts.

      *a PCM
      *b Nut
      N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque
    4. Remove the PCM
    5. When replacing the PCM on the vehicles, perform the following:

      HINT: 

      If configuration cannot be performed by reading/writing of the vehicle specification information, perform the configuration using As-Built information after replacing the PCM.

      1. Perform the PCM configuration.

        See step  2

      2. Perform the immobilizer system-related part programming.

        Refer to IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING

  2. REMOVE BAROMETRIC PRESSURE (BARO) SENSOR 

    HINT: 

    Because the BARO sensor is integrated in the PCM, replacing the BARO sensor includes replacement of the PCM.

    1. Remove the PCM.

      Refer to REMOVAL
