Oil Control Valve: Removal: Procedure

  1. REMOVE OIL CONTROL VALVE 
    WARNING:
    • A hot engine can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before servicing.
    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

      Refer to REMOVAL

    2. Remove the plug hole plate.

      Refer to REMOVAL

    3. Remove the ignition coils.

      Refer to REMOVAL 

    4. Remove the cylinder head cover.

      Refer to REMOVAL

    5. Remove the OCV installation bolt.

      *1 OCV installation bolt
      *2 OCV
    6. Remove the OCV.
