Engine Control System (Service Information): ECM: Installation: Procedure

  1. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Install the PCM
    2. Install the nuts.

      *a PCM
      *b Nut
      N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

    3. Install the PCM together with the battery tray as a single unit.

      Refer to INSTALLATION

    4. Connect the negative battery cable.

      Refer to INSTALLATION

    5. When replacing the PCM on the vehicles, perform the following:

      HINT: 

      If configuration cannot be performed by reading/writing of the vehicle specification information, perform the configuration using As-Built information after replacing the PCM.

      Refer to INSPECTION 

      1. Perform the PCM configuration.

        Refer to INSPECTION 

      2. Perform the immobilizer system-related part programming.

        Refer to IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING

  2. INSTALL BAROMETRIC PRESSURE (BARO) SENSOR 

    HINT: 

    Because the BARO sensor is integrated in the PCM, replacing the BARO sensor includes replacement of the PCM.

    1. Install the PCM.
