Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal: Procedure
- REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Refer to REMOVAL
- Drain the engine coolant.
- Pull out the evaporative hose No. 1 from the canister (charcoal canister assembly) and set it aside.
*a Canister (Charcoal Canister Assembly) *b Evaporative Hose No. 1 *c Vehicle Front - While pressing the clip tabs in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure, push out the clip in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure and remove the clip.
*a Clip *b Vehicle Front *c Connector - Disconnect the ECT sensor No. 1 connector.
- Remove the ECT sensor No. 1 using the SST.
*a ECT Sensor No. 1 *b Vehicle Front N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque • Non-reusable part - SST: 49D015001
- Refill the engine coolant.
Refer to REPLACEMENT
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR NO. 2
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Refer to REMOVAL
- Lift up the vehicle.
- Remove the front under cover No. 1.
Refer to REMOVAL
- Drain the engine coolant.
Refer to REPLACEMENT
- Disconnect the ECT sensor No. 2 connector.
- Remove the ECT sensor No. 2 using the SST.
*a ECT Sensor No. 2 *b Vehicle Front N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque • Non-reusable part - SST: 49D015001
- Refill the engine coolant.
Refer to REPLACEMENT
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
