Key-off Operation Function Operates even if Operating Conditions are not Satisfied [06/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED OFF 
    1. Check the power window master switch assembly operation function after the ignition switch is turned off.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      When power window can still be operated even after opening driver or front passenger side door within approximately 45 seconds of ignition switch being turned off A
      When power window can still be operated even after approximately 45 seconds have elapsed after ignition switch turned off (for All Doors) B
      When power window can still be operated even after approximately 45 seconds have elapsed after ignition switch turned off (for Driver Side) B
    2. Check the power window switch assembly operation function after the ignition switch is turned off.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      When power window can still be operated even after opening driver or front passenger side door within approximately 45 seconds of ignition switch being turned off C
      When power window can still be operated even after approximately 45 seconds have elapsed after ignition switch turned off (for Front Passenger Side) D

    Result:

    REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] )

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR COURTESY SWITCH) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Master Switch / Data List.
    5. According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
      MASTER SWITCH

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      D Door Courtesy SW Driver side door courtesy light switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side door opened
      OFF: Driver side door closed      		 -

      OK

      Normal conditions listed above are displayed.

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM (Door Courtesy Switch Circuit) 

    (Refer to Door Courtesy Switch Circuit [06/2016 - ] )

  3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Master Switch / Data List.
    5. According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
      MASTER SWITCH

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      P Door Courtesy SW Front passenger side door courtesy light switch signal / ON or OFF OK: Front passenger side door opened
      NG: Front passenger side door closed      		 -

      OK

      Normal conditions listed above are displayed.

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM (Door Courtesy Switch Circuit) 

    (Refer to Door Courtesy Switch Circuit [06/2016 - ] )

  4. CHECK OPERATION (POWER WINDOW SWITCH) 
    1. Check the power window regulator master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assembly operation function after the ignition switch is off.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Operate (for both driver side and front passenger side switches) A
      Operate (for driver side switch only) A
      Operate (for front passenger side switch only) B

    Result:

  5. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the power window regulator master switch assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] ).
    2. Check the power window regulator master switch assembly operates (Refer to OPERATION CHECK [06/2016 - ] ).

      OK

      Driver door power window operates normally.

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Does not Operate A
      Operate B

    Result: 

    A 

    REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] )

    Result: 

    B 

    END 

  6. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the power window regulator switch assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] ).
    2. Check the power window regulator switch assembly operates (Refer to OPERATION CHECK [06/2016 - ] ).

      OK

      Front passenger side door power window operates normally.

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Does not Operate A
      Operate B

    Result: 

    A 

    REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] )
