- GENERAL
- In the occupant classification system, the occupant detection ECU determines the state of the occupant based on the signal from the occupant detection sensor. If the system determines that the front passenger seat is not occupied, the passenger airbag is disabled.
- This system determines the physique of the occupant of the passenger seat and outputs the result of this determination to the airbag ECU assembly. This determination is performed by the occupant detection ECU in response to signals from the occupant detection sensor and the passenger buckle switch.
