Radio Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode [08/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the E29 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E29-9 (CANH) - E29-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the E1 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E1-7 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E1-3 (ACC1) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V
      E1-4 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      E29-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2013 - 08/2015]  Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2016]  Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2016 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
