DTC B1795: Occupant Classification ECU Malfunction [05/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant detection ECU.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2016 - ]

   Body Electrical > Occupant Detection > Clear DTCs 

2. Clear the DTCs stored in the airbag sensor assembly.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [05/2019 - ]

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

3. Turn the power switch off.
4. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 10 seconds.
5. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2016 - ]

   Body Electrical > Occupant Detection > Trouble Codes 

   OK

   DTC B1795 is not output.

   HINT: 

   Codes other than DTC B1795 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

6. Turn the power switch off.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [05/2019 - 07/2020]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2020 - 06/2021]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2021 - ]

1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
3. Replace the occupant detection ECU.

   Refer to REMOVAL [09/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

   Result
