Reassembly [06/2016 - 03/2017]: Procedure

1. Install the ignition or starter switch assembly with the 2 screws to the upper steering column with switch bracket assembly.

1. Make sure that the ignition switch lock cylinder assembly is in ACC.

2. Install the ignition switch lock cylinder assembly to the upper steering column with switch bracket assembly.
3. Make sure that the ignition switch lock cylinder assembly is securely installed.

2. Install the 2 screws and key interlock solenoid to the upper steering column with switch bracket assembly.

1. Slide the un-lock warning switch assembly and engage the 2 claws to install the un-lock warning switch assembly to the upper steering column with switch bracket assembly as shown in the illustration.

1. Align the transponder key amplifier with the upper steering column with switch bracket assembly. Tilt the transponder key amplifier slightly and slide it into position.

2. Push the transponder key amplifier, and engage the 2 claws to install the transponder key amplifier to the upper steering column with switch bracket assembly.

See step  2

1. Secure the steering column assembly in a vise.
   NOTE:

   Do not overtighten the vice, as the steering column assembly may become deformed.

2. Temporarily install the upper steering column with switch bracket assembly to the steering column assembly with new tapered-head bolt.

3. Tighten the tapered-head bolt until the bolt head breaks off.
