DTC B1760: Occupant Classification Sensor Circuit [06/2016 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Check that the connector is properly connected to the occupant detection ECU.
OK
The connector is properly connected.
HINT:
If the connectors are not connected securely, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection.
- Disconnect the connector from the occupant detection ECU.
- Check that the terminal of the connector is not damaged.
OK
The terminal is not deformed or damaged.
Result:
NG
REPLACE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
Result:
OK

- CHECK DTC
- Connect the connector to the occupant detection ECU.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant detection ECU (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2016 - ] ).
- Clear the DTCs stored in the airbag ECU assembly (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2016 - ] ).
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Check for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2016 - ]
).
OK
DTC B1760 is not output.
HINT:
Codes other than DTC B1760 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.
