Removal [06/2016 - 03/2017]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [06/2016 - 03/2017]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least for 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    The power window system utilizes a mechanism that the door glass moves down slightly when the door is opened, and that the glass moves up when closing the door in order to prevent the door molding from being damaged. When the battery negative (-) terminal needs to be disconnected for servicing, fully open the driver and passenger door glasses in advance.

  3. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ]

  4. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the steering pad switch connector from the spiral cable sub-assembly.
    2. Remove the 2 guides.

    3. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the connector from the cruise control main switch.

    4. Remove the 2 screws.

    5. Disengage the 4 claws to remove the steering pad switch assembly.
