Inspection [08/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      5 (MSW1) - 2 (MSW2) Pressed Below 1 Ω
      Not pressed 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the pattern select switch assembly.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Pattern Select Switch Assembly)
    2. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the switch and check the illumination condition of the pattern select switch assembly.

      Standard

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 4 (MSW+)
      Battery negative (-) → 3 (MSW-)      		 Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the pattern select switch assembly.
