Removal [08/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

  2. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    2. Remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.
    3. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst).
  3. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR UNDER REAR REINFORCEMENT 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and front floor under rear reinforcement.

  4. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    2. Remove the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst) from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.
    3. Remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold.
  5. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE BAFFLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Tail Exhaust Pipe Baffle) 

    HINT: 

    • Perform this procedure only when replacement of the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly is necessary.
    • If the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly is removed, replace it with a new one.
    1. Using a plastic hammer, remove the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly from the tail exhaust pipe assembly.
