Removal [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR MOTOR UNDER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [07/2020 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [11/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [08/2016 - 12/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [12/2018 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [07/2020 - ]

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

    2. Remove the clip and No. 2 engine coolant temperature sensor from the radiator pipe assembly.

      NOTE:

      If the No. 2 engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  5. REMOVE EGR PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  6. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

    2. Using SST, remove the engine coolant temperature sensor from the water outlet.

      *1 Gasket
      • SST: 09817-33191 
      NOTE:

      If the engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    3. Remove the gasket from the engine coolant temperature sensor.
