Tire Pressure Sensor Registration: Notes
NOTE:
When a tire pressure sensor and/or tire pressure monitor ECU are replaced, the sensor ID must be memorized (registered) by the tire pressure monitor ECU prior to system initialization. The ID codes can be registered in the Settings Display (gear icon) of the multi-information display.
NOTE:
Before beginning registration process on vehicles where tire pressure sensors have not been replaced, retrieve sensor transmitter ID(s) using Techstream or by reading the ID on the tire pressure sensor. If sensor is being replaced with a new one, make a note of the 7-digit number (transmitter ID) before installation, as it cannot be seen after sensor is installed. See Figure.
NOTE:
Every tire pressure warning valve and transmitter has a unique ID code. In addition to the set of tire pressure warning system sensor ID codes initially registered to the vehicle, a second set of ID codes can be registered. When 2 sets of ID codes have been registered, either ID code set can be selected.
Every tire pressure warning valve and transmitter has a unique ID code. When replacing a tire pressure warning valve and transmitter, it is necessary to register the ID code. For registering the ID codes, see Fig 1
