Freeze Frame Data [11/2018 - 12/2021]

  1. DESCRIPTION 
    1. When a front camera system DTC is stored, the forward recognition camera stores the current vehicle (ECU or sensor) state as Freeze Frame Data.
  2. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Front Recognition Camera / Trouble Codes.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Trouble Codes 

    5. According to the Techstream display, select a DTC that stored freeze frame data.
    6. Read the freeze frame data recorded when the DTC was stored.

      • If a display different from vehicle specification is output, a forward recognition camera that was used with a different vehicle was installed, or the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
      • When a display different from vehicle specification is output, U0300-51, U0300-57, U0322-51 or U0322-57 is output.
      DRS System Equipped Information Dynamic rear steering system function availability Absence or Presence Absence: Dynamic rear steering system absence
      Presence: Dynamic rear steering system presence
      • If a display different from vehicle specification is output, a forward recognition camera that was used with a different vehicle was installed, or the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
      • When a display different from vehicle specification is output, U0300-51, U0300-57, U0322-51 or U0322-57 is output.

      HV Equipped Information Vehicle information (engine) stored by forward recognition camera Non-HV or HV Non-HV: Gasoline Model

      • If a display different from vehicle specification is output, a forward recognition camera that was used with a different vehicle was installed, or the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
      • When a display different from vehicle specification is output, U0300-51, U0300-57, U0322-51 or U0322-57 is output.
      Steering Vibrator Equipped Information Whether steering vibration is installed or not Absence or Presence Absence: Not installed
      Presence: Installed
      • If a display different from vehicle specification is output, a forward recognition camera that was used with a different vehicle was installed, or the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
      • When a display different from vehicle specification is output, U0300-51, U0300-57, U0322-51 or U0322-57 is output.
      Buzzer (Line) Equipped Information Whether or not a buzzer is installed to the forward recognition camera connected by direct line Absence or Presence Absence: Not installed

      • If a display different from vehicle specification is output, a forward recognition camera that was used with a different vehicle was installed, or the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
      • When a display different from vehicle specification is output, U0300-51, U0300-57, U0322-51 or U0322-57 is output.

      Front Recognition Camera Low Temperature Whether low temperature malfunction of forward recognition camera exists or not Not Low Temperature or Low Temperature Not Low Temperature: Approximately -30°C (-22°F) or higher
      Low Temperature: Approximately -30°C (-22°F) or less
      • If this item is "Low Temperature", it will display that the camera is temporarily unavailable.
      • If this item is "Low Temperature", X2016 is output in the vehicle control history.
      Front Recognition Camera High Temperature 1 Whether high temperature malfunction of forward recognition camera exists or not Not High Temperature or High Temperature Not High Temperature: Approximately 80°C (176°F) or less
      High Temperature: Approximately 80°C (176°F) or higher
      • If this item is "High Temperature", the camera will be temporarily unavailable. If this does not improve even if the inside of the vehicle is left cooled for at least 10 minutes, the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
      • If this item is "High Temperature", X2016 is output in the vehicle control history.
      HINT: In summertime, the windshield glass may reach 100°C (212°F) or higher
      Front Recognition Camera High Temperature 2 Whether high temperature malfunction of forward recognition camera exists or not Not High Temperature or High Temperature Not High Temperature: Approximately 65°C (149°F) or less
      High Temperature: Approximately 65°C (149°F) or higher
      If this item is "High Temperature", the automatic high beam system or adaptive high beam system will be temporarily unavailable. If this does not improve even if the inside of the vehicle is left cooled for at least 10 minutes, the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
      HINT: 
      In summertime, the windshield glass may reach 100°C (212°F) or higher
      Front Recognition Camera Optical Axis Misalignment (X) Whether beam axis misalignment (horizontal direction) of forward recognition camera exists or not Not Axis Misalignment or Axis Misalignment Not Axis Misalignment Camera beam axis misalignment (horizontal direction) may have occurred for some reason. Confirm that the cause of the beam axis misalignment is not inside the vehicle
      Front Recognition Camera Optical Axis Misalignment (Y) Whether beam axis misalignment (vertical direction) of forward recognition camera exists or not Not Axis Misalignment or Axis Misalignment Not Axis Misalignment Camera beam axis misalignment (vertical direction) may have occurred for some reason. Confirm that the cause of the beam axis misalignment is not inside the vehicle.
      Front Recognition Camera Roll Angle Optical Axis Misalignment Whether beam axis misalignment (roll direction) of forward recognition camera exists or not Not Axis Misalignment or Axis Misalignment Not Axis Misalignment Camera beam axis misalignment (roll direction) may have occurred for some reason. Confirm that the cause of the beam axis misalignment is not inside the vehicle.
      Heater Available Information Whether a hot-wire heater exists in the forward recognition camera or not Absence or Presence Absence: w/o Heater Wire Heater

      • The forward recognition camera checks conductivity with the hot-wire heater. If this item is "Absence", a new forward recognition camera may have been installed with the hot-wire heater disconnected.
      • If this item is "Absence", C1AAE-00 is output.
      Heater Control Permit The control permission status of the hot-wire heater in the forward recognition camera Not Allow or Allow Not Allow: Hot-wire heater control not permitted
      Allow: Hot-wire heater control permitted
      If this item is "Not Allow", the following statuses are likely.
      • The forward recognition camera has stored C1AAE-00
      • The forward recognition camera has stored vehicle control history
      • The air conditioning system is malfunctioning
      • Communication between the forward recognition camera and air conditioning amplifier assembly is lost
      Heater Control The control status of the hot-wire heater in the forward recognition camera Not Control or Under Control Not Control: Hot-wire heater not controlled
      Under Control: Hot-wire heater controlled
      If the hot-wire heater control permission item is "Allow" and the outside temperature is 10°C (50°F) or less, this item will repeatedly switch between "Not Control" and "Under Control". (For vehicles with whole surface deicers, this item will remain "No Control" when the whole surface deicer is in use.)
