How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [11/2018 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard voltage

      11 to 14 V (Ignition switch off)

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

  3. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      HINT: 

      Refer to CAN Bus Check in CAN Communication System.

      1. for HV Model: Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2019 - 06/2020] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [06/2020 - 08/2020] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2020 - 12/2021]
      2. for Gasoline Model: Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2020 - 12/2021]

      OK

      CAN communication system is functioning normally.

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    1. for HV Model: Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [02/2019 - ]
    2. for Gasoline Model: Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - ]

    OK

  4. CHECK FOR DTC* 

    HINT: 

    Refer to DTC Check / Clear.

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - 12/2021] 

    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > Lane Control > Clear DTCs 

    2. Reproduce the detection conditions of the recorded DTC.

      Chassis > Lane Control > Trouble Codes 

    3. Attempt to duplicate the malfunction and check if the DTCs are output again.

      Chassis > Lane Control > Trouble Codes

  5. CHECK FOR VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY* 
    1. Check for vehicle control history and note any codes that are output.

      Refer to VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY [08/2020 - 12/2021]

      Chassis > Lane Control > Utility

    Result:

  6. CHECK FOR DTC* 

    HINT: 

    Refer to DTC Check / Clear.

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - 12/2021] 

    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

      Chassis > Lane Control > Trouble Codes 

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > Lane Control > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to reproduce the DTCs by duplicating the conditions indicated by the DTCs.

      Chassis > Lane Control > Trouble Codes

  7. CHECK FOR VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY* 
    1. Check for vehicle control history and note any codes that are output.
