DTC P0630-51: VIN Not Programmed [02/2019 - 06/2020]: Procedure

CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P0630-51)

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the Techstream on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

Read the DTCs.

Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

NOTE:

If P0630-51 is output, the VIN must be written to the ECM using the Techstream. However, all DTCs are cleared automatically by the Techstream when the VIN is written. If DTCs other than P0630-51 are output, troubleshoot them first.
