Power Source Mode does not Change to ON (IG) [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

- CHECK FOR DTC
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Key, Power Source Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check for DTCs.

- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY), POWER SUPPLY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the J197 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
- Disconnect the 3G, 3I and 3J driver side junction block assembly connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition J197-3 (IG1D) - 3J-17 Always Below 1 Ω 3I-3 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω J197-3 (IG1D) or 3J-17 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

(Driver Side Junction Block Assembly)- - - Remove the driver side junction block assembly.
Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]
- Reconnect the driver side junction block assembly connectors.
- Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3J-17.
- Connect a negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 3I-3.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3G-1 - 3I-31 Always Below 1 Ω Result
