DTC U0423-00: Invalid Data Received From Power Steering Control Module; DTC U0423-82: Invalid Data Received from Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module alive / sequence counter incorrect / not updated [07/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. VERIFY COMBINATION METER DTC 
    1. Recheck for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

    2. Are any DTCs present?

      Result

      Proceed to
      Yes
      No

    Result: 

    Yes

    Result: 

    No

  2. VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED 
    1. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ]

      Body Electrical > SCBS > Clear DTCs 

    2. Recheck for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ]

      Body Electrical > SCBS > Trouble Codes 

    3. Is the same DTC present?

      Result

      Proceed to
      Yes
      No

    Result: 

    Yes

    No

  3. VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT 
    1. Are any DTCs present?

      Result

      Proceed to
      Yes
      No

    Result: 

    No 

    DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED. 

    Result: 

    Yes 

    GO TO APPLICABLE DTC INSPECTION.. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [07/2015 - 08/2019]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2019 - ] 

  4. REPEAT THE INSPECTION FROM STEP 1. 
    1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the combination meter, then go to the next step.

      Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

      NEXT

  5. GO TO APPLICABLE DTC INSPECTION. 
    1. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [07/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2019 - ]
    2. DTC troubleshooting completed, then go to the next step.

      Result
