Pattern Select Switch Circuit [06/2016 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Read the value displayed on the Techstream.

REPLACE PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

(Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] )

1. Disconnect the A19 TCM connector.
2. Disconnect the D35 pattern select switch assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   A19-13(SPORT) - D35-4(SPORT)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   D35-8 - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A19-13(SPORT) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Connect the A19 TCM connector.
5. Connect the D35 pattern select switch assembly connector.

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Replace the TCM (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] ).

Result: 

NEXT 

PERFORM THE RESET MEMORY 

(Refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2016 - ] )

1. Perform inspection of the pattern select switch assembly (Refer to INSPECTION [06/2016 - ] ).

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

(Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] )

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the A19 TCM connector.
2. Disconnect the D35 pattern select switch assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   A19-24(SNOW) - D35-6(SNOW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   D35-8 - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A19-24(SNOW) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Connect the A19 TCM connector.
5. Connect the D35 pattern select switch assembly connector.

Result:

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK
