Hybrid Battery SOC Indicator Remains ON [09/2016 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Health Check.
- Check DTCs.

- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Plug-in Control / Data List / Hybrid/EV Battery SOC Indicator 1 Status, Hybrid/EV Battery SOC Indicator 2 Status, Hybrid/EV Battery SOC Indicator 3 Status.

Tester Display Hybrid/EV Battery SOC Indicator 1 Status Hybrid/EV Battery SOC Indicator 2 Status Hybrid/EV Battery SOC Indicator 3 Status - Using the electric vehicle charger cable assembly, plug-in charge the vehicle.
- Read the value displayed on the Techstream.

Result Proceed to On the Techstream screen, ON or OFF is displayed according to the state of each SOC indicator A On the Techstream screen, ON and OFF are not displayed according to the condition of each SOC indicator B - Disconnect the electric vehicle charger cable assembly.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER ASSEMBLY - INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY (HYBRID BATTERY SOC INDICATOR)) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the Service Information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Remove the EV charger duct. (for Type A)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [09/2016 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 [05/2019 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 [07/2020 - ]
- Disconnect the N74 electric vehicle charger assembly connector.
- Disconnect the G9 indicator light assembly (Hybrid battery SOC indicator) connector.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

(to Indicator Light Assembly (Hybrid Battery SOC Indicator))NOTE:Turning the power switch on (IG) with the electric vehicle charger assembly disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition N74-26 (INL1) or G9-3 (INL1) - Other terminals Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher N74-27 (INL2) or G9-2 (INL2) - Other terminals Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher N74-7 (INL3)or G9-1 (INL3) - Other terminals Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher - Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and wait for 2 minutes or more.
- Reconnect the G9 indicator light assembly (Hybrid battery SOC indicator) connector.
- Reconnect the N74 electric vehicle charger assembly connector.
- Install the EV charger duct. (for Type A)
