Restraints Occupant Classification System Module Communication Stop Mode [11/2018 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
2. Disconnect the occupant detection ECU connector.

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   S21-5 - S21-4	Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal	54 to 69 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE AND CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   S21-10 - Body ground	Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal	Below 1 Ω

2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
   NOTE:

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
