How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [08/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK NAVIGATION SYSTEM OR AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM 
    1. Refer to the navigation system or audio and visual system.

      w/ Navigation System: Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ]

      w/o Navigation System: Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ]

      Result

      System is normal A
      Navigation system is abnormal (w/ Navigation System) B
      Audio and visual system is abnormal (w/o Navigation System) C

    Result: 

    GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2019 - ]

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2021 - 08/2022] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2022 - ]

      CAN DTC is not output A
      CAN DTC is output B

    Result: 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2019 - ]

  5. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2021 - ] 

    2. Clear the DTC.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2021 - ] 

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.
