Reassembly [06/2018 - 01/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL ELECTRIC POWER STEERING MOTOR SHAFT DAMPER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECU WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. INSTALL STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    When replacing the steering lock actuator assembly, perform registration.

    Refer to REGISTRATION [06/2018 - 01/2019]

    1. Secure the steering column assembly in a vise between aluminum plates.
      NOTE:

      Do not overtighten the vise.

    2. Temporarily install the steering lock actuator assembly and upper steering column clamp with 2 new steering lock set bolts.
    3. Tighten the 2 steering lock set bolts until the bolt head breaks off.
