Driver Side Seat Belt Warning Light does not Operate [04/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (AIRBAG SYSTEM) 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2013 - ]

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2013 - ]

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTCs are not output A
      DTCs are output B

    Result:  3

    B 

    GO TO AIRBAG SYSTEM:  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2013 - 08/2016]  ,  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2016 - ]

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Data List

      Set: Seat belt fastened

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [04/2014 - 08/2014]  Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2014 - 08/2016]  Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2016 - 08/2017]  Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2017 - ] 

    Result:  5

    C 

    REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] 

    Result:  1

  3. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 
    1. Temporarily replace the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

  4. CHECK SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the operation of the seat belt warning light.

      Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [08/2013 - 08/2017] Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [08/2017 - ] 

      OK

      The seat belt warning light operates normally.
