Pattern Select Switch iMT Mode Circuit [06/2018 - 11/2022]: Procedure
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (iMT SW)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List.
- According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note iMT SW iMT switch (combination switch assembly) status ON or OFF - ON: iMT switch (combination switch assembly) being pushed
- OFF: iMT switch (combination switch assembly) not being pushed

- Remove the combination switch assembly.

- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 6 (MSW1) - 5 (E) iMT switch (combination switch assembly) being pushed Below 50 Ω 6 (MSW1) - 5 (E) iMT switch (combination switch assembly) not being pushed 10 kΩ or higher - Install the combination switch assembly.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the I61 combination switch assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition I61-5 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Connect the I61 combination switch assembly connector.

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

- Disconnect the A47 ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A47-38 (MTMS) - Body ground iMT switch (combination switch assembly) being pushed Below 50 Ω A47-38 (MTMS) - Body ground iMT switch (combination switch assembly) not being pushed 10 kΩ or higher - Connect the A47 ECM connector.
