DTC U0235: Lost Communication with Cruise Control Front Distance Range Sensor [11/2015 - 07/2020]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Pre-Collision 2 > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) 
    1. Perform the following procedure.

      HINT: 

      If the following procedure is not performed, the previously output DTC cannot be detected.

      1. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait 1 second or more.
    2. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Pre-Collision 2 > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      U1002 is not output A
      U1002 is output B

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (U1002). Refer to  DTC U1002: Lost Communication with Gateway Module [11/2015 - 12/2018]  , or refer to  DTC U1002: Lost Communication with Gateway Module [12/2018 - 07/2020]  

    Result:

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS MAIN LINES (MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the A2 millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A2-5 (CA1P) - A2-6 (CA1N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
    4. Connect the A2 millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BUS MAIN LINE OR CONNECTOR (NO. 4 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE VOLTAGE) 
    1. Disconnect the A2 millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A2-1 (SGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A2-8 (IGB) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
    5. Connect the A2 millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [11/2015 - 07/2020] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
