Removal [08/2020 - ]: Procedure
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to REPLACEMENT [11/2018 - ]
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2023 - ]
- REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
*a Pin - Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.
- Disconnect the vacuum hose from the air cleaner hose.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 PCV hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
- Lock the hose clip and remove the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Pull out the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose 3 pins from the air cleaner support.
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 6 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly from the intake manifold.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to remove the throttle body with motor assembly.NOTE:
If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
