    1. Check for the following
      • Front wiper blade other than genuine part may be attached
      • Front wiper rubber may be deteriorated
      • There may be stickers, accessories, baggage, etc. in visual field range of forward recognition camera
      • There may be snow, ice, fog, dirt, frost, dust or oil film sticking on windshield glass in front of camera
      • There may be damage or cracks on windshield glass in front of camera
      • Windshield glass other than genuine part may be installed
      • Confirm the vehicle was not driven in poor weather (the warning display will disappear when the conditions [darkness, backlight, snow, fog, etc.] around the forward recognition camera improve and the forward recognition camera can be used again)
    Cause:
    1. When foreign matter or dirt is attached to area around forward recognition camera
Front Camera Unavailable X2016 Front Recognition Camera Outside Guaranteed Operating Temperature History of forward recognition camera being temporarily unavailable due to high temperature or low temperature
    1. Using the Techstream, check the following items for the front recognition camera in the Data List.

Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2018 - 12/2021]

      • Front Recognition Camera Low Temperature
      • Front Recognition Camera High Temperature 1
    2. If the display value for the Data List check items are displayed as "High Temperature" or "Low Temperature", perform the procedures listed in the diagnostic notes.

Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2018 - 12/2021]

    Cause:
    1. The forward recognition camera is in one of the following conditions
      • When the ambient temperature is approximately -30°C (-22°F) or less, such as when the vehicle is left alone in an extremely cold environment
      • When the ambient temperature is approximately 80°C (176°F) or higher, such as when the vehicle is left alone in an extremely hot environment
Front Camera Unavailable X2017 Front Recognition Camera Outside Guaranteed Operating Voltage History of forward recognition camera being temporarily unavailable due to low voltage or high voltage
