How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 

    HINT: 

    • In troubleshooting, confirm that the problem symptoms have been accurately identified. Preconceptions should be discarded in order to make an accurate judgment. To clearly understand what the problem symptoms are, it is extremely important to ask the customer about the problem and the conditions at the time the malfunction occurred.
    • Gather as much information as possible for reference. Past problems that seem unrelated may also help in some cases.
    • The following 5 items are important points for problem analysis:
      What Vehicle model, system name
      When Date, time, occurrence frequency
      Where Road conditions
      Under what conditions? Driving conditions, weather conditions
      How did it happen? Problem symptoms

  3. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard voltage

      11 to 14 V (Ignition switch off)

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system DTCs.

      for HV Model:

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2023 - 11/2024] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [11/2024 - ]

      for Gasoline Model:

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2023 - 11/2024] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [11/2024 - ]

      OK

      CAN communication system is functioning normally.

  5. CHECK FOR DTCs* 
    1. Using the Techstream, Check for DTCs.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Trouble Codes 

    2. Make a note of the output DTCs.

      DTCs C100A-62, C1A93-04, C1A93-08, C1A94-44, C1A94-45, C1A94-47, C1A94-87, C1A95-00, C1A96-1C or C1AA8-00 are output B

  6. CHECK VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check for vehicle control history (RoB).

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Vehicle Control History (RoB)
    2. Make a note of the output vehicle control history (RoB).

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Vehicle control history (RoB) is not output A
      Vehicle control history (RoB) other than X2015 and X2017 is output
      Vehicle control history (RoB) X2015 or X2017 is output B

    Result: 

    GO TO VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY

  7. RECONFIRM VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY* 
    1. Using the Techstream, clear the vehicle control history (RoB).

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Utility

    2. Using the Techstream, check for vehicle control history (RoB).

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Vehicle Control History (RoB)

      Vehicle control history (RoB) is output B

    Result: 

    GO TO SYMPTOM SIMULATION

  8. RECONFIRM DTC OUTPUT* 
    1. Using the Techstream, Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Clear DTCs 

    2. Reproduce the vehicle conditions that were present when the DTCs that were noted were stored.

      HINT: 

      Refer to each corresponding DTC for details on the detection conditions.

      Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2022 - ] 

    3. Using the Techstream, check for DTCs.
      1. Attempt to duplicate the malfunction and check if the DTCs are output again.

        Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2022 - ] 

        Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Trouble Codes
