Steering Pad Switch Circuit [12/2021 - 10/2022]: Procedure

1. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]

1. Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]

2. Inspect the spiral cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2020 - ]

REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]

1. Disconnect the G20 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the P8 forward recognition camera connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G20-6 (DIST) - P8-3 (LKSW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G20-6 (DIST) or P8-3 (LKSW) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Connect the P8 forward recognition camera connector.
5. Connect the G20 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

   Result

   Proceed to

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

2. Disconnect the A24 ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   G20-2 (ECC) or A24-28 (ECCS) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Connect the G20 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
5. Connect the A24 ECM connector.

REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - ]

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

1. Disconnect the G20 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G20-2 (ECC) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

3. Connect the G20 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

   Result
