DTC B1771: Passenger Side Buckle Switch Circuit Malfunction [11/2018 - 02/2019]: Procedure
- CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- Check that the connectors are properly connected to the occupant detection ECU and front seat inner belt assembly RH.

- CHECK FRONT SEAT WIRE RH
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- Using a service wire, connect terminals 1 and 2 of connector C.NOTE:
Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Connect the connectors to the occupant detection ECU and front seat inner belt assembly RH.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant detection ECU.

- Clear the DTCs stored in the airbag ECU assembly.

- REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- Replace the front seat inner belt assembly RH with a new one.
Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]
HINT:
Perform the inspection using parts from a normal vehicle if possible.

- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
