Distance Control Switch Circuit [08/2018 - 08/2019]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise 2 / Data List.
5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

   Powertrain > Radar Cruise2 > Data List

   Tester Display	Measurement Item	Range	Normal Condition	Diagnostic Note
   Distance Control Switch	Distance control switch signal	ON or OFF	ON: Distance control switch on OFF: Distance control switch off	-

   OK

   The Data List item shown in the table changes according to the operation of the steering pad switch assembly (distance control switch).

1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [08/2017 - 08/2019]

2. Inspect the steering pad switch assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [08/2017 - ]

REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2017 - 08/2019]

1. Remove the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2019]

2. Inspect the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [08/2015 - ]

REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2019]

1. Disconnect the H54 spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the U22 forward recognition camera connector.
3. Disconnect the A27 ECM connector.
4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   H54-11 (DIST) - U22-3 (LKSW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   H54-2 (ECC) - A27-59 (ECCS)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   H54-11 (DIST) or U22-3 (LKSW) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   H54-2 (ECC) or A27-59 (ECCS) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
