How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
    1. Confirm customer problem symptoms.

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2017 - 08/2018] , or

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2018 - 08/2019] , or

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2019 - ]

  3. PASSENGER AIRBAG ON/OFF INDICATOR CHECK

  4. CHECK FOR DTC (Present and Past DTC)* 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ] .

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ] .

    3. Recheck for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ] .

      Based on the DTCs output above, try to force output of the same CAN communication system DTC or occupant classification system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.
