DTC C1A11: Front Radar Sensor Incorrect Axial Gap [08/2017 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE CONDITION 
    1. Check the operating conditions of the vehicle.

      HINT: 

      DTC C1A11 may be stored if the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly beam axis is temporarily misaligned due to the vehicle being overloaded.

  2. CHECK WHEEL ALIGNMENT 
    1. Check the wheel alignment (toe).

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2018 - 08/2019]

      HINT: 

      DTC C1A11 may be stored if the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly beam axis is misaligned due to incorrect wheel alignment (toe).

      Result

      Wheels are not misaligned (toe) B

  3. ADJUST WHEEL ALIGNMENT 
    1. Adjust the alignment (toe) of the wheels.

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2018 - 08/2019]

  4. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Perform millimeter wave radar sensor assembly adjustment.

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2018 - ]

  5. CHECK FOR DTCs (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2017 - 08/2019]

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2017 - 08/2019]

  6. INSPECT MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the bracket of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is not deformed.

      HINT: 

      If the bracket is deformed, replace the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

      OK

      The bracket is not deformed.

  7. REPLACE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2017 - ]

    2. Adjust the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2018 - ]

  8. CLEAR DTC (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2017 - 08/2019]

  9. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Return the vehicle to normal.
    2. Perform millimeter wave radar sensor assembly adjustment.

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2018 - ]

  10. CHECK FOR DTCs (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) 
    1. Clear the DTCs.
