Front Camera Module Communication Stop Mode [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check vehicle type.

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the Q4 forward recognition camera connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q4-5 (CA1P) - Q4-11 (CA1N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      NG

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Forward Recognition Camera)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q4-10 (GND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q4-7 (IGB) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Result
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

  4. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the Q21 forward recognition camera connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Q21-5 (CA1P) - Q21-11 (CA1N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Q21-10 (GND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q21-7 (IGB) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
