1. Check for SFI system DTCs.

   Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

1. Inspect the iMT Switch (combination switch assembly).

   Refer to INSPECTION [09/2024 - ]

   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE iMT SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 

Refer to REMOVAL [09/2024 - ]

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the I177 iMT switch (combination switch assembly) connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   I177-5 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

3. Connect the I177 iMT switch (combination switch assembly) connector.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the I177 iMT switch (combination switch assembly) connector.
2. Disconnect the A139 ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   I177-3 (MSW1) -A139-4 (MTMS)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   I177-3 (MSW1) or A139-4 (MTMS) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Connect the A139 ECM connector.
5. Connect the I177 iMT switch (combination switch assembly) connector.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE ECM 

Refer to REMOVAL [09/2024 - ]
