- CHECK ELECTRICAL KEY TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Check the battery of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.
Refer to INSPECTION [11/2021 - ]
Is the check result 2.5 - 3 V?

- CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the smart key ECU assembly connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using a tester, measure the voltage between the smart key ECU assembly connector and chassis ground.

Is the voltage 9.5 - 16 V?

- Disconnect the connector from the indoor electrical key oscillator.
- Using a tester, measure the resistance between the smart key ECU assembly connector and the indoor electrical key oscillator connector.

- Hold the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly 1 m or more away from the back of the rear seat, then come closer to within 0.8 m.
Does the buzzer sound?
Result Proceed to Yes (The circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.)
HINT:
In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.A No (Replace the smart key ECU assembly.) B

The circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
