The Index Function of the Passenger's Side Power Window does not Operate [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK BATTERY 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Check the battery.

      Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [11/2021 - ]

      Is the check result OK?

      Result Proceed to
      YES A
      NO B

    Result: 

    CHARGE OR REPLACE THE BATTERY 

    Result:

  2. CHECK FUSE 
    1. Check the fuse.

      Is the check result OK?

      Result Proceed to
      YES A
      NO B

    Result: 

    REPLACE THE FUSE. WHEN THE REPLACED FUSE IS BLOWN IMMEDIATELY, REPAIR THE POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT.

  3. CHECK DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using the GTS, read the DTCs of [Power Window (Switch)] and [Power Window (Passenger)].

      Body Electrical > Power Window (Switch) > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > Power Window (Passenger) > Trouble Codes 

      Are any DTCs displayed?

      Result Proceed to
      YES A
      NO B

    Result: 

    PERFORM THE DIAGNOSIS FOR THE DISPLAYED DTCS

  4. CHECK DTC 
    1. Using the GTS, read all DTCs.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [11/2021 - ]

      Is DTC of U-code displayed?

      Result Proceed to
      YES A
      NO B

    Result: 

    PERFORM THE DIAGNOSIS FOR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2021 - ]

  5. CHECK CONNECTOR 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF, and wait for 3 seconds or more.
    2. Check that the following connectors are properly connected.
      • Front door lock assembly RH connector
      • Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector
      • Power window regulator motor assembly RH connector
      • Intermediate connectors

      Is the check result OK?

      Result Proceed to
      YES A
      NO (Connect the connector correctly)
      HINT: 
      Repair the connector if any broken pin or poor mating is detected.

  6. CHECK CONNECTOR 
    1. Open/close the passenger's side door and check that the power window (passenger's side) operates.
      NOTE:

      When opening/closing the door, be careful not to allow the glass upper end to contact the retainer.

      Is the symptom removed?

      Result Proceed to
      YES A
      NO B

    Result: 

    SINCE THE POOR CONTACT OF CONNECTOR WAS REPAIRED, THE CIRCUIT CONDITION RETURNED TO NORMAL

  7. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using a tester, measure the voltage between the power window regulator motor assembly RH connector and chassis ground.

      Connector & terminal

      H5-5 - Chassis ground

      Is the voltage 10.0 V or more?

      Result Proceed to
      YES A
      NO B

    Result: 

    CHECK THE POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

  8. CHECK [COURTESY SWITCH] (DATA LIST) 
    1. Using the GTS, check the following items in the [Data List] of [Power Window (Passenger)].

      Body Electrical > Power Window (Passenger) > Data List

      NOTE:

      When opening/closing the door, be careful not to allow the glass upper end to contact the retainer.

      Does the display of [Open]/[Close] switch according to the passenger's door opening/closing operation?

      Result Proceed to
      YES (The system up to the door switch (courtesy switch) recognition is normal. The output system of the power window regulator motor assembly RH may be faulty.) A
      NO B

    Result: 

    REPLACE THE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    INSPECT THE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 

    Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2021 - ]

    If no fault is found from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) to the door switch (courtesy switch), replace the power window regulator motor assembly RH.
